It will remain sunny until the afternoon, with just a few high clouds passing through. Later on, localised showers or thunderstorms may develop from the cumulus clouds.
The temporary ridge of high pressure will gradually weaken, although conditions will remain fairly pleasant.

Unsettled weather on Wednesday, improving from Thursday
On Wednesday, the weather will be unsettled with heavy cloud and thunderstorms, some of which may be severe. Temperatures will fall.
On Thursday, the weather will tend to improve with sunny spells, particularly in the south, and slightly changeable conditions along the border ridge. A north wind will blow in many valleys.
Friday will also be fairly sunny, with more cloud cover in the north.
Saturday will be sunny with summer temperatures.
